Steven Freed, President, COO

  1. Born in Budapest, Hungary
  2. Founded The Elegant Gourmet in 1977
  3. Expanded to Freed From The Kitchen in 2000 to provide personal Chef’s service
  4. Food developer in the 1980’s for such clients as Vie de France where among other products he developed the chocolate, almond and ham and cheese croissant
  5. Advised in the opening of the first Vie de France restaurant on 20th and K Street in Washington
  6. Food manager of the Norbeck Country Club in Maryland
  7. Graduate of L’Academie de Cuisine Professional Chef Program
  8. Member of the American Personal Chef Association
  9. ServSafe Certificate for food handling
